Streets of Russia?

I’m planning to do a diorama of a Tiger tank rolling through a town somewere in Russia. My question is what type of streets did they have, My first guess would be cobbles or some type of paving.
Any info is greatly appreciated. [C):-)]

my guess is if its a small village, the streets will be dirt, and if it is a more signifigant village, the streets would be cobble stone or something like that. just a guess, I havnt visited there yet.

have you looked in old photos or web sites yet ??

Here’s one link to a painting of German tanks on their way to a village using the village road.

Depends on the streest, bigger cities are a lot like Vienna, Prague, etc.

Many of the movies in days gone by that play in Russia were shot in Austria, Hungary, etc as the location are very similar.
Example:
Firefox the Movie was shot in Vienna as the subway & town is very similar.

Personally, I didn’t see much difference between the old-town in Vienna and Moscow.

Farmhouses and rural areas got quiet a lot of differences.

Hope this helps.
