That is definitely a strange one. That would be tough to beat.
I didn’t know if that was based on something real, but I found my answer in this article: WW1 Tanks
“The Russians built a truly bizarre tricycle vehicle (no treads) with 2 front wheels that were almost 30 feet tall! This was the Lebedenko Tsar tank, and it fared very poorly during trial tests.”

Strange, indeed. Looks more like a bike than a tank to me. LOL.
That’s the one I was thinking of, but couldn’t remember the name of it. I saw it in an issue of FSM. Some man scratchbuilt it and won a prize.
Well…PE for the spokes on those rear idler…wheels? That is weird!

That’s what I thougt when I first saw it to except I thought bike with a crack addiction.
Has to be number 1 on the strange looking vehicles list.
I would like to see a M1 or Kingtiger next to it for comparison purposses.
That is one wierd looking tank. Did actually fight in any battles.

Check out the picture in the gallery. You can see a picture of a man standing next to one of the wheels.

That must have been something to see, especially back then.
I like the camo nets. Like you could hide this thing!
The Kora resin kit of it looks interesting, i think the spokes are either very fine wire or stretched string.
OTOH, their K-Wagen seems like a nice kit too after seeing the review of it.
Both in 1/72 scale
Overall some interesting & rare designs in their Kit lineup.
FYI, interesting site with buildups and info:
A really interesting vehicle, huh…?! I’m also proposing Da Vinci’s armoured car… Really intriguing for its time!
Looks like a Vietnamese Hat. LOL.
Must agree it is one of the strangest Tanks I’ve ever seen. Looks like a candidate for a SF movie.
Fir a strange modern tank, it would have to be the cancelled MBT-70 with a three man crew, all in the turret. Driver’s compartment had a counterrotating system so he was always facing forward. That must have been dizzying.
Man-I thought it looked just weird but when someone clued in on the little guy-WOW-the thing’s huge! And I thought the minneraumer and T-35 were strange.
that was the one I was going to say.
The Tsar tank never fought in battle. During testing, the rear wheels (the small ones) became stuck in a ditch. At that time it was decided that the main wheels would be too vunerable to artillary fire. The vehicle was abondened and left where it was until it was dismantled in 1926.
Nothing even comes close! That thing is pretty steampunky, no?
Yeah, the camo nets are a scream, aren’t they? It’s like putting lipstick on the sheep on those lonely nights. [:X] What they should have done is given it some folding cardboard facades so it could disguise itself as a building while in the field!
That’s a handsome little model, too.
