Hi!Hello to everyone. my name is tom8631 and I am a new member
I live in Florida and am just starting in this hobby. I have only made 2 models to date. My work area is in my garage where the temp reaches a high of 85. Should I be concerned about my paint (tamiya acrylic) and cement (tamiya thin liquid). So far I have had no problems. My work area has been up for about 2 weeks. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! my email is tfer17@aol.com

I’m not positive, but I think most paints are labeled to be kept at below 70 to 75 tops. If you keep them in a place where they are out of the direct sunshine, a box in a dark corner, they might be OK. I work out of what was a spare bedroom in the house so I don’t have that problem. I think that the same would apply for the Tamiya cement. If you go to the Painting sub-forum here and ask this question, you’ll probably get a lot of answers. The members are very knowledgeable and always willing to help out. Hope that this helps.
I live in Central Florida and right now the temps are near 90. I only paint in the garage and has to be before noon cause the heat and humidity is impossible to deal with. I keep all my paints and supplies in my man cave inside the house.
When I lived in South Florida I kept all my paints in the garage and never had a problem but that was years ago when paints were of better quality. Lately I buy paints and some within a few months start going bad.
