Stikpusher 2020, Pass In Review!

This year I completed a modest six builds. But I was not able to start building until mid March after getting my workbench set up in my new home, so that works out to one completion every month and a half or so. Of the six, only one was a mostly completed build from a previous year. All the rest were started here, save for one, which was barely started, and I had to go and fix stuff on that one. So here we go:

1, Monogram 1/48 A-7B

2, Tamiya 1/48 DAK Kübelwagen

3, Testors (Hawk) 1/48 V-1 - the rollover build started in another year

4, Heller 1/35 Char Somua S35

5, Dragon 1/35 M46

6, Academy 1/35 M151A1 (last but not least)

One other bit of positive news is that only one kit that I started in 2020 was not completed. And that one is close enough to the finish line to be done quick enough in the next few weeks. Unlike many previous years…

Thanks for looking… Happy New Years!

Great stuff Carlos!

Nice work Stik. I’m partial to Gull Grey & White [H]

Thanks guys! CB, I know what you mean. That was a very attractive scheme and era for markings.

I would add any of those to my collection. Well done one and all.

Back then the Navy and Marines had more colorful than the Cammo paint schemes we had in the Air Force with only a few exceptions, the C-5a, C-141a, C-9, AND OV-10a. The 1976 Bi-Centinniel paint jobs were even better. I saw a lot of colorful aircraft pass through Little Rock A.F.B.

Modest!?! I’ll only get seven finished if I hit the deadline with the three I’m trying to finish for GBs tonight. I’d say you had a very productive year!

And some fantastic work there- they all look great but I love the tiger-face Korean War M46…[ht]

I like all of those, Stikpusher, and I really like the A7, but my favourite has to be that amazing M46! If I turned out only 3 a year to that standard, I’d be a happy bunny - well done on all of them.

I think you did great, especially with the short build year. [Y]

They are all cool, and that M46 and the Jeep especially got my attention!

That is a nice collection. I don’t build much armor (only a couple of WWII-era tanks) but i sure do like looking at it.

Nice line up there Carlos.

Thanks guys! I’ll have more flying things next year. I had planned to build a couple more, but then changed my mind… lol! 2019 I shut down my bench early to move. 2020, I lost a few months before I was able to build again. 2021 should be more agreeable for my hobby time.

Just keeping working it Stik you’ll get good at this modeling thing. I had a sarcastic smiley face here and somehow it disappeared

Awesome builds. I know with the move it can be tough getting back to a groove. I’m mostly an aircraft guy so my vote is for the spectacular A7. 2020 was my first full year of modeling and I think I completed 4 or 5. Still learning what works best for me and I’ll use some of these photos for inspiration.

Hope 2021 brings you happiness and more success at the bench

Paul

Beautiful job Stik. I’m amazed you got that much done with moving and all

All I’ve gotta say is that you’re one helluva model builder Carlos. Exceptional work on all bro.

Super work stick, the Corsair looks great, and the Kubel…

Well done Stik! Now I need to find those A-7 decals in 1/72.

Paul, Steve, Joe, Castel, and Lew, thank you one and all for commenting so kindly on my 2020 builds. Nothing means more to me in this hobby than such comments from fellow modelers such as you guys. All of you do great work yourselves, so this is very fine company to be a part of.

Six beautiful models there Stik. I’m pretty sure that’s a few more than I made!

Thank you Chad. This year WILL be more productive for both of us!
