Just a thread, by a noobie, asking why there wasnt a Sticky on materials/processes/methods (at least basic) on how people not only set up the ground work on a diorama, the base and subsequent reinforcing if needed(or larger scale battlefield), but how they actually go about producing the end results and the intricacies throughout the process.
Could this happen? Would be very handy and helpful from a complete noob like myself, who has a little bit of passion there, but dont know where to start somewhat.
the reason why there isn’t a sticky is because there are numerous types of dios that can be built, and each has different problems and answers. furthermore, everybody’s got their own methods and materials to tackle such problems, meaning that there isn’t necessarily only one way to do something. your best bet is to just get one of the several diorama books out there, which contain many of the general techniques on doing dios. the one by lynn kessler is a good one, and especially shepard paine’s how to book. theyre each about twenty bucks, but they’re real handy, and don’t require that you be on the computer while you’re doing work
