Hi everyone well I’m just curious to know what ratio of model kits you guy have? Like how many of what do you have or percentage for example planes,copters,military ,cars and trucks that kind of thing.I’m working on building a nice healthy stash with lots of variety to keep my interest in model building alive for a long time.Pictures and ideas welcome.
I would say mine is about 75% 72nd aircraft, 20% 35th armour and the rest is a small selection of 32nd aircraft, sci fi and ships. The only reason for the small percentage of armour is that I only build Ww2 German, but I have a wider range of aircraft to choose from. So it would depend on what subjects your interested in.
I have about 40% 1/48th aircraft, 50% 1/35th armor (not building armor atm) and the other 10% consist of 1/32th aircraft and some helicopters.

About 50% are 1/24 & 1/25 autos.
45% are 1/72 & 1/48 Aircraft.
5% are various scale ships.

95% 1/35 armor and maybe just 5% A/C.
Heck, I’d say 75% 1/48 modern military aircraft,15% 1/200 airliners, 5% Sci-fi, 2% 1/144 airliners and 3% misc.
I could almost say 100% aircraft related
The large percentage of my stash is models of actual aircraft,but, there are 4 shelves full of boxes of aircraft weapons, and two shelves full of tractors, loaders, trucks, crewman, for the aircraft
There is also a stack of about a dozen ships left that weren’t in salable condition when I reduced ships out of my building future,but, that is only about 2% of the total number of kits

Just kidding. I don’t suspect that anyone has as many kits as my LHS…

Percentages have changed since returning to the hobby.
Used to be about 33 pct aircraft, 33 pct armor and 33 pct Sci’Fi with 1 pct Auto kits.
Now purchase roughly 34 pct aircraft, 33 pct armor, 30 pct Auto Kits and 3 pct Ships
Still have a few un-built Sci Fi kits left over, though, to mess up the percentages.
Armor 75%
Ships 20%
Planes 5%
Clemens, my LHS owner is also a friend,he estimated that I have twice as many 1/72 kits as his shop has,and his shop is my local go to shop for buying 1/72 kits in person
I believe him,but, to be fair, he also has 1/48 and 1/32, plus all the cars, and a toy section for the kids,so, overall the LHS still has more than I do
100% 1/24 & 1/25 non-military and except for 2 helicopters non-flying
