your forgetting the wing of a TIE fighter is almost the same size as a tyderium class shuttle
Tie fighter wings are a lot taller than Intercepter wings though.
TIE Interceptors have more wing area though
Unbelievable!!! [:0]
Thanks to too many hours at work, I just caught this thread & have to agree with everyone else that your skills & the build are both amazing! Great work & I look forward to seeing more updates!
Heres that tiny Tie Interceptor. It isn’t much larger than the date stamp on the penny. You might need a microscope…now what did I do with the pilot[(-D]
Matt
Fantastic!
holy cow now those would be hard to kit out with the Interdictor
You gotta be [censored] me! Now wait til i get my bifocals on, im not that young ya know![:O] Youve got to be kiddin, right? right? I give up, just how in the world did you do that? did you practice by writing the Declaration of Indepedence on a grain of rice?[wow][bow]
That is nothing short of amazing. How can they even make something that small?
Matt,
Have you thought of invading a neighboring star system? [;)]
Your Interdictor looks fantastic! Thanks for posting pictures of your progress.
Regards,
WOW. And I thought a 1/35 tabasco bottle was impressively small!
Matt, you’re killing me here… I’m SO tempted to build an Interdictor now! I just don’t have the friggin time!!! Definitely filed for a future project though.
Any thoughts on an FSM article on your build?
Wow, as a drooling Star Wars geek I am blown away! Major Kudos for undertaking such an amazing project, it looks way cool!
WOW! Once again I want to thank you all for the positive and enthusiastic feedback. There have been a couple of times while chopping up thousands of tiny bits of styrene that I wanted to shelf this one for awhile but you guys have kept me excited about the final out come. There where a couple of questions about how I would build the side trenches. Here are the highs and lows of building trenches.
This is the 5/16" I-beam before detailing.
This space was built up with .040 strips cut to fit inside and make the high and low surface of the trence.
Once detailed it gives lots of surface for light to play with.
Matt
[tup] Well Im glad you like our input and such! You just have an outstanding project going on and we all would like you to continue and finish[^]. It isnt often you find someone who is willing to undertake a project as grand as this, and still have the desire to continue.
I think we all want to see you cross the finish line with this one Matt. Keep up the great work and keep us on the edge of our seats!
Wow, that is just awesome work!
Looks great Matt, have you posted this over at Starship Modeler?
Yeah, they’d love this over there. Absolutely the best sci-fi model site in the world.

Should be the Star Wars forum. That’s some great work you’ve done.[8D]
you should be glad you didnt scale this beastie to match the scale used by the studio model of the Star Destroyer.
I did have it up over at Starship but there topics move by rather fast so I thought I would wait untill shes all done and repost.
Studio scale hummm. That would be a three foot model. You know the funny thing is that it really wouldn’t be much more work, just more plastic. Besides I have to keep room set aside for the 75" Exicutor.[(-D]
