Star Wars AT-ST Question

Were there two different kits of this vehicle made?I seem to remember the main gun on an older build was able to move while the gun on my current build is in a fixed position. Also,I’ve had some minor fit problems that I don’t recall occuring on the old build either.

You talkin’ about the AMT kit? I every one I made had the cannons fixed except the cuncussion gernade launcer and the other gun on the otherside were (very loosely) posable. A pretty good kit for detailing too. If it’s a different brand, let me know, I’d love to get it. The AT-ST is my favorite vehicle in Star Wars.

It is the current AMT kit.Considering the fun I’m having with this dio I’m doing,it won’t be my last AT-ST build.

The chin gun is permanent mount, but depending on the fit, it may wobble a little. Ditto the leg joints where they connect to the body. The side guns are movable.

If you’re into dioramas, the AT-ST scales out at about 1/51 scale, which is close enough to 1/48 if you wanted to take some figures and putty them up into Stormtroopers and Rebels.

Do you have any recommendations for rebel soldiers?Tha would be easier to do since I’ve never sculpted anything.Plus,I figure the rebels could be wearing any type of camo, gear, etc…A stormtrooper would have to be exact.

AMT did release 2 versions of the AT-ST. The snap together kit we all know and that little walking thing which didn’t look too much like an AT-ST. The regular kit was released in at least 2 different boxes but is the same kit.

Iremember that wind-up thing - hated it. Since last posting I went out and got 2 AT-STs [:D]
