The bridge took some getting used to.I felt it looked like a high-tech candy store.
Just got mine delivered to the front door from Cult TV man. I was on their “notify when you get some” list for the second set of kits that came in and ordered it quickly. They sold out again in a very short time. Looks like it’s going to be fun. Unfortunately there are no after-market parts yet. It definitely needs some aztecing decals and I 'm thinking it would be cool with some lighting…
I’ll be all over this kit once I’m done the ‘real’ CVN 65 Enterprise.
Grabbing the LED kit I found online, and I’ll be hand painting the Aztecs like a lunatic.

I agree. The bridge design is strange. All that bright light would give me a headache.
People in the future don’t suffer eye fatigue or seizures. The bridge was an exciting set piece but I would never want to work there. The rest of the ship, to me, had a hard time deciding what it wanted to be. On minutes it’s a high tech adventure vessel of exploration and the next it was a factory with high, multi story ceilings and concrete floors. And the scaling inside and out was way out of wack.
Aside from the German Revell kit the only JJ Trek kits I have seen were all from garage castings from one company resin, expensive, and very hard to find, as I suspect the studio stormtrooper lawyers got all over them. I have to admit i am VERY disappointed in Abrams/Paramount for totally screwing Trek fans with no plastic kits from the 2009 flick, it has to do with the legal BS, not in any lack of interest.
