I am in. Not sure what yet. Either an Enterprise or a Klingon Bird of Prey.

I love Star Trek like Mr. Scott loves. . .

. . .so I’ll join in with Polar Lights 1/1000 (snap fit) U.S.S. Enterprise from the films. From what I’ve read on the 'net, it’s supposed to be pretty good.

I’ll go with the Polar Lights 1/1000 Enterprise from the original series (to match CMK02’s entry!)

I’m in, with a doomsday machine /enterprise diorama.

John

This group build’s gonna be cool.

Ok, here’s what I got so far. Going to make a small diorama with lights inside the doomsady machine. Helps when i work for the leading 3D printer company!

John

Beans,

I am intrested in this GB and should be able to fit something in before next Sep. Put me down TBD at this time.

Steve

Ohhhhhhhhh, now that’s awesome! Looking forward to seeing how you do this.

Maybe I should have decided on something more elaborate but I’ll be lucky at the rate I move that I get this one little ship finished.

Happy 50th Anniversary everyone!

Here’s some music to model by…

Hey falconmod, did you pick up the doomsday machine from Federationmodels.com?

and…here’s where I begin tonight…

Straight forward instructions…

I gotta check some reference pictures. I don’t seem to remeber K7 being marked in The Trouble with Tribbles.

Looks easy enough but I’m anticipating putty and lotsa sanding…

I don’t remember a stand in the original release.

Here’s samdiego’s K7 build from 2010:

Nope, I got it off www.thingiverse.com and printed it here at my work

Cool Beans! And I think I remember a review that stated that K-7 didn’t have any markings. So I guess it’s up to you if you put them on or not. Personally I think I would but your call.

Nice. Looks good.

I still gotta wrap my head around that whole 3D printing thing one of these days.

I’ve already entered a couple things I’ve printed out in one of our contests last year. depending on the resolution of the printer you have it can be alot of work sanding out the layers in a object, kinda like stacking poker chips in a tower then sanding all the edges smooth, more work than work standard injection model model.

but leaves it open for alot of different and wierd stuff.

John

Gotta share…

My wife gave me a sheet of Star Trek forever stamps she picked up from the post office yesterday.

Cool huh?

I’m gonna have to hit the post office! [:D]
