Greetings from a new newbie,
Like many of you I’m sure, I’ve been greatly inspired by LeeJustin’s scratchbuilt Star Destroyer. I’ve got the enthusiasm to have a go at reproducing his magnificent achievement myself, but I’ve run into a snag before I can begin - I need some accurate references to work from, in particular, plan views of the ISD. Does anyone know where I might find some?
Thanks folks!
Macross Martin
You’re giving this one hit wonder a big head… (But seriously, I’m very flattered, thank you.)
I used this as my primary reference:
http://home.wlu.edu/~overholtzerc/swguides/images/isdschm.jpg
The basic shape, angles and porportions are taken directly off this diagram. There are several places that are not consistant with reference photos of the studio model (Ex: The rear profile of the neck is too steep), I eyeballed a lot of that sort of thing.
The reference photos can be found at various websites, most notably at:
www.starshipmodeler.net
I found some rather large, high res shots that have been very helpful, but don’t remember where I lifted them. If you send me an e-mail, I’ll forward them to you.
Good luck, and please post picture once you get going!
Many thanks, LeeJustin! I’ll be sure to post pics when (if?!?) I get started. I’ll be sure to e-mail you later.

don’t sell yourself short LJ. It is an excellent model. Anything scratchbuilt is worthy of respect, and in your case, more so.
edit-
but don’t go getting a big head, lol
