Staggerwing finished

I built this for the Civilian Aircraft Group build, it is a 1/48 AMT kit of the G-17S Staggerwing. More pictures cazn be seen on the Civil Group Build, or at this link on my web site:

It is OOB except the wheels are from the ICM Mk XVI Spitfire, and the engine is an Engines and Things R-985.

One of my all time favorites, nice work Jeaton01!

Mine too! Beautiful job!! [#toast]

Nicely done John [tup].

Excellent job on a classic beauty.

Looks great John [:D] Good depth on the yellow too. Nice and even. Well done.[tup]

Very cool!!!

So who am I to argue with everyone else? Especially when they are dead right…very nice.

Absolutely stunning John! The yellow really glows on this one.

Beautiful work on the Staggerwing. It is truly gorgeous.

Very nice. WAs this in your stash, or did you find it somewhere?

John…the wings look a little our of line…oh, wait, it’s a Staggerwing! Never mind. [;)]

Once again, another find looking build off of your workbench! You’ve really put some nice builds out lately!

Well, thanks everybody, you are all very kind! I am happy with the yellow, it is two coats of Tamiya flat yellow, allowed to cure for two or three weeks, and then one thin coat of Model Master Bright Yellow which also was allowed to cure for several weeks before any handling. I did hire that expensive photographer who makes the warts disappear.

Very nice an excellent build of an older kit.

John;

I love it. The Staggerwing is an aircraft that just shouts out FUN! and yours does so immensely.
