Hi all,
Just curious what you all think about squadron, model master and tamiya putties.
Which do you use?
Which do you think is best and why?
Any special techniques?
Thanks

I prefer Tamiya’s. It sands and sticks really nice. The one thing is that the opening is very large, so you can not run a bead of it down a seam. Try to get some tools to apply it, so you can minimize sanding
All depends on the work being done. For general filling I always use Squadron’s white putty, but for larger jobs, Tamiya’s Basic Putty is great for the reasons that Jason described.

As of right now I am using testers red putty and it does a perty good job.I have used squadrons in the past and it to was ok.I have also used putties from dap to what ever I can get a hold of.Most of these products are good depending on what job you want done, but as of right now the testors brand fills my need in what I need done.It has a medium dry time so that I can mold a shape to the things I work on,also used thinnly it has a quicker drying time for the seams. It scratches off easy and sands smooth to my needs.Digger
