Squadron canopy (p-38F)

Does anyone have any experience with Squadron’s vacuform canopies? I was considering getting one for my 1/48 Hasegawa P-38F, but I can’t really find any decent info on it’s quality and what makes it better than the canopy in the box.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Much, much better than the kit canopy. I always used theirs, until I started vaccing my own.

It’s a vac form, so very careful trimming & fitting is required. On the plus side, it’s much thinner & closer to scale thickness.

Thanks for the info guys. I went ahead and ordered one, first time for everything. It was only $3.15 at www.greatmodels.com so even if I mess it up, no biggie, I can always go back to plan B with the kit canopy. [:-^]

You could also buy ya some Thermaform & make your own[:D]
