Here are some pictures of my entry into our club’s “Sputnik Challenge”. We were all given a ping pong ball with the goal of turning it into a Sputnik in honor of the 50th anniversary of the first man-made object in earth orbit.
I chose to model my Sputnik opened up to reveal its innards. A Google image search provided the documentation I needed and Evergreen supplied most of the raw materials.



Nice-ly done! Your level of craftsmanship at that scale, is outstanding Dave! The details you’ve included and the assembly of the various pieces is terrific!!
I saw it at NorEastCon a couple weeks ago. Your photos do it justice.
