How fans did that ? use stick tape to cut into shape or paste into shape ?or use newpaper to paste them ?any other suggestion ??? thanks ?
I do it freehand with an aibrush using low pressure and patience.
Your post is a little confusing, I think you are asking about laying down a camo pattern. For a “hard edge” look, I’ve found that silly putty or Playdo rolled out into a thin sheet and cut to your pattern works well for me. Just cut the pattern out of the Playdo, and lay the sheet over a section of the model and airbrush in the color like this example:
For a “soft edge” , it’s all about the airbrush and how you thin your paint. Experiment on scrap plastic until you get the air pressure and paint to thinner mixture just right, and you can free hand camo like this:

I mask with a combination of tape and silly putty, Ive had absolutely no luck with liquid masks.
Alot of patterns I do freehand also.
It just counts on what edge and how tight you want the pattern to be
