Hi all,
Just wanted to give you a little up date on my Mk. IB(Tamiya 48th) build. So far the interior is going together rather well.
I did my usual black base coat, then I sprayed a very light coat of Floquils British Interior green.
From there I decided to break my normal methods of painting and tried dry brushing over all.
I dry brushed on the B.I.G from Poly Scale first. Used MMs RAF Sky(Type S) for the hi lighting. When that was all said and done, I once again went back over the entire interior with dirty white. Very lighty in terms of dry brushing.
The over all effect is not to bad for my first in a round about way of “dry brushing” the interior.
Just want to take a moment and thank my Teacher Steve-O for showing me this particualr technique a while back… What are friends for??
Hopefully I can post some pix within the next few days…
Flaps up, Mike
Sounds good mate. What do you spray it black for? Is it to give the paint some depth instead of using washes? Can’t wait to see some pics of your build.
Sounds good Butz. Waiting breathlessly for the Pics [:)].
Regards, Rick
SOunds like you’ve decided about those wings! Rock on. Looking forward to pics, bro.

Love too see some pics Mike.
Sounds pretty good so far!
Hiya pingtang,
So you want to know whay I use black do ya?? The black helps aid in the “natural shadowing” effect. But when you start to apply the colours that the office will be, you have to apply them thined and very lightly.
As you build up the paint, make sure you spray from different angles as well as for your motion. Its actually not hard at all…
Rick,
I’ll try to do my best my friend… Please dont turn blue on my account[:p][;)]
Hey Justen,
Yuppers, I basically wanted to do an all OOB kit but I liked this particular a/c from the 92 Sqd.
Its the second one from the bottom…
