Spitfire's granddaddy - PICS

The amazing things you learn building model airplanes. These guys had some cajones! They climbed in these things and flew at almost 400 mph a few feet off the water and COULD NOT SEE OUT THE FRONT! All this while crazy Italians and 'Mericans were trying to catch them. I have no idea how they were able to fit themselves AND their balls into these small cockpits. A very worthy ancestor to the Spitfire.

What color blue did you use?

I’ve got the 1/72 scale Airfix kit to build… sometime! [;)]

I used the Testors dark blue in the little square bottles (enamel).
