I want to get a later model Spitfire/Seafire with a bubble canopy for my racer build. Can anyone help me locate a airfix Seafire, or some other kit of the same general mark?
What scale are you looking for?
Heller had a Spitfire Mk XVI with the cut down fuse and bubble canopy in 1/72.
Airfix had a Spitfire Mk 22/24 and Seafire FR 46/47 in 1/48
Italeri has a Spit Mk XVIe in 1/48
ICM Spit Mk XVI in 1/48 (This one should be fairly readily available)
Matchbox (now reissued by Revell) Spit Mk22/24 in 1/32

For some strange reason,the Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Ia also includes a late-model bubble canopy on the clear sprue, so you don’t have to pay for a whole kit just to get the canopy - you can also build the (reasonably good) Airfix Spit.Ia.

I was looking for something in 48, I’m running out of shelf space.
I think I’ve decided on the Academy 1/48 Spitfire Fr. MK.XIVe Special Edition. It looks alright, and is pretty close to what I wanted. I’ll probably do a series of YouTube videos on building it.
