Here is my rendition of Spitfire Mk I P9386 flown by Squadron Leader Brian Lane. I used the Tamiya kit as a base and added the following:
Ultracast seat, exhaust, cockpit door and Quickboost spinner and prop blades
Aeromaster decals were used for the roundels and Xtradecals were used for the Squadron codes as well as Aviaeology serial numbers. The aerial cable thanks to a strand of my lovely wifes hair and the spring fashioned from a strand of lamp wire.
I dont think you can ask for a easier to assemble kit just chock full of detail right from the start and not a fit problem to be had.
Please forgive the washed out pics as my camera is down and these are the best I can get with my iPhone. I currently have the Tamiay Mk Vb on deck and I think its going to be done as Tucks RS T that was shot down by flak.

Well done, Eric. I’ll use my wife’s hair in some parts of the rigging of my Camel. But I wonder how to paint it black without thickening. How did you do that? (Assuming you did paint.)
Well luckily, my wifes hair very very near black. The only thing I do to it is brush it with some Testors Acrylic flat to knock down some of the shine.
Looks great Eric. I always use Aeromaster or Eagle Strike roundels myself. What did you use for your Dark Earth?

Thanks Joe! I used MM acrylics for all the colors on this one. I believe it was MM Acryl Dark Earth ANA617.
