Spitfire Gun Bays

Hi there,
Building Hasegawas Spitire Mk XI 1/48, adding CMK’s exterior set and gun bays (both execellent castings).

Question: Both Hasegawa and CMK say the bays were painted RAF Interior Green, if memory is still working they were actually a semi metellic grey, any one know the right choice?

I have Dr Price’s execellent book “Spitfire” which my commanding officer borrowed to look through, and is away so thought you guys could help much faster.

If consirdering Hasegawas Spitfire I would recommend these sets, now trying to find the cockpit set and squadron was out of stock (first time ever I have known they to be out of stock). The exterior set also has an extension to correct the length problem in the fuselage.

FSM had a article about the different configurations of guns on the Spit in 2002 not sure which issue though. If you could find the copy it may help you. CHIMO!!!

I dug out my Spitfire book and couldn’t find anything about color. Everything else I have shows light green. Sorry can’t be of more help.
