I was looking over a Tristar 38(t) and it looks like the indies snap together. I have never built a Tristar kit and was wondering if these stay together and are somewhat flexible. And what are the opinions of Tristar in general?
They are static indys and not snap-together. You will have a very surprising result if you don’t use glue. [:D]

But I was wondering what keeps model companies from making snap-together links? That would be highly profitable on their part methink.
The sheet says to not use any glue.
Marc,I tried Tristar workable tracks for my Jagdpanzer IV,got them for about $12.00 on Ebay,GM also has them. http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=5153 They are supposed to click together and be workable without glue,however they just don’t stand up to the painting and weathering process,they are way too fragile and constantly fall apart as you try to handle them and add them to the tank.I also had similar problems with WWII Productions clickable resin tracks,they don’t stay together,although they held up better then the Tri-star ones.Maybe thats why more manufacturers don’t make them,they sound good,but are not quite perfected.
Myopinion on tristar kits- mehh. They are a lot more accurate than Dragon kits but they have pretty big sprue connections which is kind of irritating. I would build one again, but ide give them a 7 out of ten. Tacs is still my favorite 
As for the tracks- the click together, yes, but are not workable. think of the “click together” as comparable as the friction fit of dragon magic tracks. You will definately still need glue once they are done.
I have never found click togethers practical. the pins are just too small and not strong enough to wistand handleing, and the links themselves arent big enough to wistand and real force needed to fit them inside another link if the pins were bigger

I built the 38(t) B by Tristar last year and must say, I am a BIG Tristar fan. The comments about the links are true - they kinda pop together, but the pins are too small to stand up to any rough handling. Still, I found them as easy, if not easier, to work with than Magic-tracks (minus the clean up). I think you’ll like 'em.
Which 38(t) do you have? Does it have an interior?
