A guy I used to know gave me a Hasagewa K5e kit years ago, but it was missing several critical parts. If necessary I can probably scratchbuild the missing parts (they are pretty simple) but I would just as soon get OEM parts. I nosed around the Hasegawa website but didn’t find any spare parts sections. Does anyone know of a spare part source? Barring spare parts, what is good source online for buying styrene blanks? I’m hopelessly rookie at this sort of thing and my local store doesn’t really have much in that arena.
Try contacting Dragon USA, the US distributor for Hasegawa. Search their website for a contact email address or how to obtain spare parts. Absent any luck there, the Hasegawa Leopold kit appears to be readily available on the web at various hobby websites. You may have to pony up the $20 or so and just buy another kit. For styrene to make parts, try the modeling section of your local Hobby Lobby first (if you are in the USA). I think they stock a selection of styrene sheets, etc. On the web, micro-mark (http://www.micromark.com) has a wide variety of plastic stock available. HTH.
Sweet. Thanks for the tips, fenderowner.
