Continuing my streak of colorful Star Wars builds… I found this rather striking X-wing painting online, fell in love with the color scheme and figured, “why not?” Kit is the 1/72 from Bandai in Vallejo acrylics and pastel weathering.
Unfortunately I lost the droid head to the carpet monster so I had to sub in a car engine part from the stash. He’s R2-V6 now.

The original painting is by a guy who goes by Spacegooose, who’s notable around the interwebs for drawing spaceships based on random household items. Check his stuff out if you need inspiration for your next scratchbuilding project.
