I am working on A tu-160 and they are calling for interior green for the bombay, cant realey find a good referance any one know of this color?

It might be the blue green color used on many Soviet aircraft. Xtra color makes it in enamel. I am not sure who else does, but I do know it is out there.
model master makes it as well. though for a balckjack calling out blue-green for the bomb bay is a little suspect methinks. especially since they stopped using that color in the late 1970’s.
All of the Soviet aircraft I’ve seen in the flesh, including the L-39 I’ve flown, had an odd metallic light blue interior. Nothing green about it.

Thanks for the replys, I picked up a book yesterday on the TU-160 yesterday, the only picture of the bombay looked like it was lined with plywood, this was the proto type. other pictures show one of the bombers being disasembled and the bulk heads look to be almost od green. the cockpit was the blue green
If the bulkheads looked almost OD green then it might be chromate green primer.
I’m rather surprized that you found the TU-160 cockpit to be the traditional turquoise blue shade. My understanding was that the MiG-25 was the last major Soviet type to come off the assembly lines with its cockpit that colour.
If you’re answering my reply, I didn’t say I’d found the Tu-160 interior to be metallic blue, only that all the Soviet aircraft I’ve seen and flown had that color, which doesn’t include the Tupolev. You may very well be right about the MiG-25 being the last line aircraft with that color.

that doesn’t seem to be the blue-green color. more of a metallic grey.
