Sources for Stock Car parts? 1969 Charger Daytona wheels

Hey, guys…I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

I’ve got the street version of the Charger Daytona - and I want to turn it into a stock car.

Where can I source wheels, decals (maybe engine details) and any other bits to allow me to do the deed?

There are two sources I know of- there may well be more. One, unfortunately I cannot remember the name of, the other is Early Racing Classics.

For most of your Roundy-Pounder needs try--bigdonkeyresin.com and mikesscalespeedshop.com. For some other great PE and detail items try modelcargarage.com. I have used parts from all of them and had no problems. Good luck with your Stocker project!!

Rommelkiste mentioned ModelCarGarage which I’ve purchased from as well and have no complaints. Another one is Detail Master. They are like ModelCarGarage in that they have a lot of PE parts but they have a lot of other stuff as well. I’ve also purchased from them with no complaints.

You might can find one of the Polar Lights Mercury, Ford, or Plymouth stock car kits. Hobby Lobby has a kit of Petty’s Ford Talladega, which would have the wheels, tires, roll cage, and other stock car goodies in it.

Detail Master is the other place I was trying to think of. Always had good luck with their stuff.

you could also try competition resins they sell stock car tires and rims for vintage nascar subjects.

Ahhhh…some great resources there, guys - thank you so very much. I’m going to keep those handy.

I did purchase the PolarLights 1/25 Richard Petty Ford Torino Talladega for wheels and suspension…and to morons like me, the option of the 427 or 429 ci mills won’t matter that it’s a Ford and not a Mopar unit…I know…scream at me now - you know you want to.

But…the jokers who will be looking at it (friends and relatives) won’t know poop from clay, so it matters very little. It’ll be a fun build - I’m looking forward to messing around with the plastic.
