Hello all,
I’m a Cubmaster trying to get my Cub Scouts into things other than video games and TV. We’re having a make and take at next month’s pack meeting. I’ve ordered a box of kits froim Revell-Monogram, and they are helping a whole bunch, as is the local IPMS chapter. Are there any other sources out there where I can get snap together kits for a very small price.
(Or else I can try to sell more popcorn!)

I dont know about the prices…however Wal-mart is the most reliable source for snap-tite kits that I know of. They have a lil more selection than Mono/Revel offers in there make and take program.
Hope that helps,
Chris
Oh yeah BTW ask to speak to the store manager or the stores GM, they may donate some…since your a non-profit org. One of our local Wal-marts donated $50 worth of craft paints to my wifes GS troop last year.

Marc,
Maybe try to contact the advertising or promotions manager of Revell-Monogram or Testors or whichever company you wish. Use Scouting letterhead (if it exists) and write to them explaining what you want to do and what you want to accomplish.
I’ve seen a demo “build and take home” display by Revell here in Oz when I attended a model contest, where kids attending the show could build a pre-painted Snap-Tite Nascar (The wouldn’t let me join in - I’m too old!! bummer) and it was a great success. Talk about forwarding the cause of modelling!!
The worst they can do is say no, or give you a discount. They might even say yes…You never know unless you have a go…
Good luck and tell us all how you get on.
Cheers
