Sorry if this is off topic.

I am building the Tamiya 1/48 scale Corsair w/moto-tug.On A sheet that shows how the corsair takes off it has a picture(cartoon) of a man pushing a bomb skid with bombs on it.I condcted a search on squadron and found nothing.I want to scratch build one for a diorama.I cant seem to find any good pictures of one.Can anyone please help?

Along with Paknick’s search for a bomb skid, if anyone knows where I can find aircraft maintenance stands (B-4, B-5, B-1, B-2) or plans to scratch build in 1:48, let me know.

Paknick, Not sure if this will help you or not but I have a P-51 Walk Around book which shows a few pictures of some P-51s about to be loaded with their bombs. The planes being shown were taken during the Korean War and I’m not sure how much bomb skid technology changed between WW2 and Korea. If you can find the book at your LHS then you might want to take a look at it. All in all they don’t look overly difficult to build for someone who has a little experience scratch building.

Hope this helps!

Eric
