Something you probably knew

This past week I was helping my dad on a model(GASP) rail road project. He was having problems lining up the text with dry transfers on a locomotive and some box cars…which begs the question, “Locomotives, box cars? What is he talking about?”[?]

I suggested he try putting the dry transfers on a piece of blank clear decal paper then apply the decal like normal to the trains. I stumbled across this while decalling an A-37 some months back.

You can draw light pencil lines on the paper and make gaps for text that runs through a contour feature. Saves time and most of all frustration.

Good tip.
