!! Something very wrong here - Polly S Question

When I mix the polly s thinner and the polly s paint according to the ratio described on the bottle - the resulting mixture is a goey mess that totally clogs up my airbrush, stains my cups and is nearly impossible to clean.

Please tell me what is going wrong

Wow! Have you considered the possiblity of demonic possession? [;)] That is really weird. I use the stuff all the time, almost exclusively. Never had ANYTHING remotely similar to that happen. Sorry, but I have no idea what is happening with your paint. Too cold? Too old? Someone replaced your thinner with Ectoplasmic goo?

yeah i’ve used it for years and i’m just getting back into modelling after a year break (baby) - everthing is new; thinner and paint - and I always clean my airbrush very well

i’ve been thinking that i’ve been doing something wrong ??

you may be right about it being too cold though - I’m up in Canada [:D]

Heat your paint and thinner in warm water before you stir it and definitely before you attempt to thin it for airbrushing. If the ambient room temperature isn’t above approx. 70 degrees Farenheit, you could have the problems you describe.

Acrylic paints can be damaged when frozen.
