Fellow modelers,
I have posted some pictures of a scratchbuilt sternwheel riverboat that I finished just recently. After about a year of research and contact with many sources I completed a set of drawings for the vessel and started construction.
The boat is 36 inches long and is constructed from basswood, maple, brass and styrene plastic. Since these photos were taken, the remaining deck fittings have been added along with a number of life rings on the cabin sides on both decks. The text was made from decal paper and my computer printer. Although the colors look bright for a working boat they were taken from archival photos of this vessel. The digital camera brightened up the blue quite a bit. The actual model is about 2 shades darker. I thought maybe the audience would like to see something a little different.
