Something different for everyone to see

After all this time, I’ve finally finished building my little Pipers!

Here they are:

This is my Piper Aztec in 1/72 scale:

And here is my Piper Cherokee in 1/72 scale:

I hope you like them.

Also, Greg, I found the parts that I thought were missing from the Piper Aztec kit that is waiting here. It is complete! Looking forward to hearing from you.

Very nice, they both look great.

very very nice!
soo small and gracefull.
the tarmac is quite realistic looks like a wet apron with some
Foriegn Objects.
no Cessna 310 or 150?

Super job on the Pipers…!
It’s nice to see different subjects on here…thanks for posting.

Regards, Dan

Thank you!

Nice builds !
You’re right, there are not many civil aircraft kits made, built, or shown on the large amount of forums out there.

Very refreshing ! Thanks for sharing.

Obiwan, so far there are no kits of those in 1/72 scale. I wish there was! I did see a couple Cessna’s in 12/48 scale, but they are rare. I can’t remember who makes them. That wet tarmac is the surface of my workbench! Yeah it does make a great photo base! I have another workbench next to it that has a fine particle board surface that looks like sand, and looks great for me Armor models.

Whoa, civilian planes, that is a little different. Nice!

tooo bad there are none of those[sigh][sigh]
the tarmac is really great , when i first saw the model on
it I thought it was a photograph of the real thing…

thanks for sharing

Really nice work. Don’t get to see much in the way of civil aviation stuff. It’s a nice change. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Good looking glossy finish on those civil birds. They look really nice.

I like these very much. I learned to fly on a Cherokee 140, and a fellow offered me multi-engine training in an Aztec, but that is a story for another day.
You wouldn’t happen to know if there is a 1:48 kit out there somewhere, eh?
Regards,
Bruce

Aurora made Cessna 310 and Piper Aztec plastic kits, back in the early 60’s, that can still be found sometimes on E-Bay.

Frank

thanks for the info Oldhooker, i forgot to mention that i mainly do 1/72. there is another C150 by heller but it’s 1/50th scale. cheers
Greg

Can’t see the pics either…

me either, and I was looking forward to seeing what you did, since I work on the 1:1 pipers quite frequently

Thanks Frank.
With 7 hours to go I might just bid …
Bruce

Thanks for all the great comments everyone! [:)] Thanks to oldhooker as well for that list of 1/48 scale stuff. As I build only in1/72 scale, it doesn’t help me much, but I’m glad you were able to help Bruce. [^]

I apologize about the Pictures. I believe they were moved from the Uploads section of Rongeorge’s site to Aircraft. [:I]

Here they are:

and the Piper Cherokee in 1/72 scale:

I’m sorry the pics couldn’t be sharper. [V] My Digicam really is old and obsolete! Maybe when my Birthday comes along…[;)][:D]

That’s awesome Duke!!! Love the detail on those wheel pants!!!
