Thought that I would share some of me latest conversions of 1/35 figures.
First, two Tamiya figures that has been turned into two British tank crew men, that just have “bailed out” from their damaged tank. One is going for his side arm, the other one is picking up a MP40 lying on the ground - they are NOT going to give up without a fight!
The second batch is a group of Dragon Geman pioneers that have been turned into - yes - German Sturmpionieer - but this time in running poses! The “method” for making the figures into running position is quite simple - take a straight leg from a standing figure and a bent leg from a kneeling figure - voilà! - he’s running like hell!
The third couple of figures are put together from parts from five different brands (Italeri, Tamiya, Dragon, ICM and with a resin head from an unknown manufacturer). They represent two German Volksturm. One white-haired old priest (his black shirt with white collor is unfortunately not seen in the picture, but one can tell that he’s a veteran from WW1 by his Cross of iron) and one unarmed industrial worker smoking his pipe, both both looking at something in a ammo cart. (I would guess that the priest is trying to convince the other guy that he should get the Mauser K98, otherwise he’ll end up with a BS russian Nagant like himself.)
Wow, great conversions. It is hard to convert a figure and make it look right. But you have indeed done this. The running poses of the germans are great. They look like they are running flat out but don’t look akward. I am a sucker for chopping and changing arm and leg positions too. It’s all trial and era. Again, nice job on these mate! [tup][tup]

Both the British tankers comes from Tamiya kits. The guy lying down is actually one of the sitting figures that comes with the “Universal Bren carrier”. The one kneeling is from Tamiyas “Churchill tank”. In the original pose he’s reciving a bottle of wine from a happy - and newly liberated - frenchman. I didn’t have to put that much work into this conversion.
I’ll see if I can’t find anymore of pics from my older conversions.
I read the post. I suppose for some folks who are reading them but not directed at, I need to be more specific and exact in my questions.
Thanks for the answer Bulten. I was curious if you were using some older infantry/atillery figures such as their 70’s vintage 6 pounder crew or three man Infantry set from Tamiya or if they were modified AFV crews as you used.[swg]
