Hey, those look pretty good. The M60 in particular. My only comment is that I like my armor a little bit more weathered. It particularly would improve the Unimog, I think. Keep up the good work!
Hey Gary, those are nice looking models. Good job, pare. My comment is the same as DJ. A little more weathering would really make them look better.
Dj, Dwight: thanks! i’m planning to give the unimog a camo scheme. i think it was a mistake that i painted it olive drab first, guess i was so excited he he
the m113 is a mess i think, i can’t seem to get the cupolas painted sharply and i can’t get the mud applied correctly. i think the interior looks good, not sure if it’s accurate though. and something’s wrong with my flat clear, it has some metalic like glitters in them.
I really like the 113. Nice interior and engine detail. The head lights need some paint and you need to use a thicker medium for the mud. A simple methond would be to coat the existing mud with a new thicker “mud mixture” intead of repainting it. Some of these guys know how to make mud. i just learned how to make dirt and terrain about 3 months ago. havent gotten to mud yet.[:D]
thanks MGM for looking at it. i think i need to repaint the M113 again while masking the tracks and the guns…then rub the decals with cotton buds and thinner. this way i can thicken the mud, then just dab another mud mixture over it. hope it works.
Good work man… I like the M60 a lot. The M113 is nice as well… Keep it up… and good luck on the repaint…
thanks Kenneth! i’ll put some wash on the M60’s armor.
on the m113, i’m starting to dry brush it and it’s looking nice so far.
Gary, your site has exceeded data transfer something (so the link says). I cant see your work.
it happen from time to time. sorry for that…something’s wrong with geocities i guess.
i hope u’ll check it out later again.
thanks!
You got some very good looking models Gary. Thanks for the link.

They look great!
Duke, thought you might like to know, i took a hasegawa turret bustle and 120mm main gun and fitted them to ESCIs M1. the 120mm may seem a tad short compareed to the 105mm, there both about the same length, but it works and looks good. also used an axel cap from a panther? that i nolonger had a use for, flattened one sinde and added a square piece of clear acetate for the CITV making the ESCI M1 a M1A2
Thanks Michael and Mark!
Trying to pick up the pace coz i still have unopened models in my room and i don’t know where to step on the floor when i’m goin to my bed. my stug iv is next in line. am going to try german armors now. am afraid of the camo scheme hehehe
Fantastic Garry! Mud up the inside of the m113. Our M109’s used to get downright filty in there, so I imagine that the m113 would be the same. All that pretty white…naw! Looking good all around!
thanks 13b20!
i’ll do some more weathering later, inside and out.
thanks for the tip!
looking good, garry!!!
Nice looking models, Gary.
The 113’s interior is excellent!
Regards, Dan
Looking good Gary, I would have made some of the same comments on weathering. I like the M113 and M60. Send some more pics when you get updated.
Looking good Gary, I’ll echo the others on the weathering.
For mud I just mix a little flour in some paint to the consistancy I want and dab it on with a small brush.
Good luck on the unimog repaint.
