Some newly built models

Hi guys,

I’m new here and would lke to share few models I’ve built in the past two months after a long long time ( almost 25 years). Hope you like the pictures. Any suggestions/comments are appreciated.

CNQ- most of us here returned to the hobby after a long break so you’re in good company.

Welcome to the FSM, there’s a lot of incredible talent and knowledge here.

Sorry, it may be my computer but I don’t see any photos…

Welcome to the forum. No, i don’t see any pics either.

Sorry guys. I don’t know why the pictures don’t show up any more. When I inserted the links the pictures did come up in my post but then my post was on hold by the administrator to check for contents…So now the pics go missing…Let me try to see if I could re-insert the links again…

Nice builds. Am i right in thinking they are 72nd. And if so, is the 162 the Dragon kit and the 111 the Italeri. I ask because i have both those kits in the stash and its nice to see them built up.

Hi Bish,

Thanks for the comment. The 162 is 1:32 scale from Revell and all others are 1:48. The He-111 is also from Revell. The Vampire is Trumpeter kit and Mosquito is from Tamiya.

CNQ, awesome builds! I like the paint jobs! Great detail! Can’t wait to see the rest!

Bish…it’s O.K., 1:32, 1:48? Take a deep breath, it will be alright. [;)] Sorry, couldn’t help it. (hope you don’t mind the 1:72 jokes).

Thanks, some people seem to know what scale a kit is, but i am useless at it. I do have that 162 kit, i am planning on makeing it my first 32nd build. How did it go together. They really are great builds, and i like the bases as well.

Eagle, sorry, could you make your font smaller, i am only used to tiny things [:D]

You rock Bish! [Y]

CNQ, I meant to ask, what did you use for the tarmacs? Did you do those by hand? Great stuff!

Ater 25 years away you don’t seem one bit rusty; builds look outstanding! There are so many friendly and knowledgeable people here to help if you need it. I too, was away from the hobby like so many others and found so much encouragement and help here. Enjoy your rediscovered hobby!

Thanks very much for the comment. Yes I finally have the time to build something for myself [:D] . I’m also collecting pre-built & pre-painted figures & amours (ww2) in 1:30 scale and have only recently gone back to build model planes as prices of the 1:30 items increase so much faster than my paycheck [+o(]…

Bish, the 162 was a very nice build for me. I don’t recall running into any issues…

Eagle, I used pink insulation foam for some of my bases. I cut it to size, drew the lines and airbrushed away.

You did that by hand?! Wow! Great work! Next time you do one, start a thread and post some pics of some of the steps you do. Thanks for sharing that. Again, awesome work!

Those look great. I love that HE 111 kit and you did a nice job on it. Welcome back.

That’s a fine collection, cnq. Looks like you’re off to a banging return.

Thanks again guys.

Eagle90, sure I’ll post pictures of how to do my bases when I make the next one.

Great! I would really like to see how you do those bases! Great stuff!
