Some more Dragon armor news

Just got the November issue of Armour Modelling, and in addition to having my E-100 featured (p.101), there was some info on new Dragon releases.

All 1/72 scale, all 950 yen ($8.60), all slated for an October-November release:

Sturmtiger, with one mortar round. New mold.

Panther G Early Version. New mold, chassis is metal.

M1A1 Iraq 2003, 3rd Infantry Division. New mold.

They also show a 4-figure set of German tank crewman spotting aircraft in France, 1944.

As there is nothing in the literature suggesting these are prebuilt, I am assuming they are kits.

There ya have it![:D]

Congrats - on being “published” J-Hulk

Thanks for the tip, J-hulk. How I wished those were in 1/35 scale.

Thanks, Build!

Yeah Dwight, 1/35 would be nice…oh well! The mini-tanky crowd will be happy!

Congrats on the publish. Brian! What an honor! It certainly deserved to be put into print.

Cool…! That will keep us smallscalers happy and busy!

Congrats on the pic! Don’t you love it seeing your work in a mag!?

those sound cools. You mean, you guys dont build 1/72nd armor whiule your working on a 35th and waiting for something to dry or set or something? Its great for taking up that 5 minutes here and there…

Yeah, it is a good feeling seeing one of my babies in print!

I’ve got one 1/72 and three 1/76 tanks sitting right here on my computer stand. They do fill in the gaps nicely while I’m working on 1/35 or 1/16 armor!

Seriously though, the last one I built was Fujimi’s JS-II, and that is one nice kit! I’ll post some pix of it soon.

Thanks JHulk,

Nice releases! Remember, things that do well in 1/76 often show up in 1/35 later!

Ron.

Yes, it is good to see some more releases in my favorite scale! The only problem is, I have all three from other companies already! Oh well, Maybe someday someone will come out with a T-72 in this scale. I still might check them out to see what kind of quality they have over what I’ve built already.

goes back to waiting for T-72…

domo arigato for the 411, Brian-sama ! i eagerly await the m1a1, and i might just have to go for the other 2 if they look as good as their built up wittmann tiger in 1/72 !
and again, omedeto on ur getting mag coverage !!

Pretty cool, any news on the 1/35th front?
I guess I know where maddog’s and frosty’s allowance is being spent.
I’m really glad to see more 1/72 figure sets comming out. Though there seems to be lots of armor and softskins, I’ve aways thought the figure selection has been short. Especially if its styrene as opposed to the soft plastic figs. You’d think with current technology, they could make alot of the same figure sets avaiable in 1/72 that they have for 1/35.

Mike

Frosty, the pleasure of providing the 411 is all mine!

For the 1/35 411, check out my “Tokyo Hobby Show Armor News” post.

Enjoy!

Speaking of little Dragons, I bought their nice 1/72 Jagdpanther Early Version builtup for 900 yen ($8.20 US). Really well done, with a nice paint job and decent weathering. The trax are very nicely detailed on both sides (although they’re screaming for a sagging!). I’ll probably get others in this series if they’re all this good.

LOL and to think I just picked up Italeri’s Sturmtiger(Cheap though). Bill should be happy about the Panther. Just bought one of those too. Metal chassis? Oh the humanity…Thanks agent J-Hulk. Congrats again(said it in another thread).
