on the back of this picture it says’name unknown-- often flown’-- they shuttled crews from plane to plane as needed–my old man was a pathfinder squadron navigator/bomb.— that means he led the whole bomb group[^][8D]-- treadwell

this one is the "hillman hellcat’[8D]

in my dad’s diary he refers to this plane as ‘the good ship chere amie’— this one was one of his favorites[:D]

shot down in this one — [:(]-- not to bad though-- no one hurt— tail no. 43-34455-- crashed returning to england
