Some limited progress, J7W2

Did you ever notice how life seems to intrude on our hobbies? Between all the pressures of Mundania this week I have managed to make some progress on the J7W2 conversion, here is the cockpit with PE seat belts.

Very nice cockpit work, Swanny.

Hey Swanny, how do you lay your photoetch seatbelts down to look like they’re naturally laying there? Mine always want to come off the seat, or to stick up in an unnatural manner. It’s been a small point of irritation to me lately.

The cockpit is looking great also!

Really there is nothing special about it, I apply a little super glue to the one end and stick it to the seat. Then I add a drop of accelerator because I am impatient. Now I take a round toothpick and gently press the belt down into position. I sometimes will apply a little more pressure at a sharp curve to help it conform. If it wants to be pesky and lift I will place a miniscule spot of superglue under it with a dental pick and then press it down. These did not need any of that.

Awesome looking front office Swanny… and yes I do tend to feel that life interrupts modeling.

nice! One day I hope I can get to your level. Thanks for setting the bar so high.
