Purple aircraft can be done. Not sure about them being Rufes though. Aircraft carried pre 41 are in silver so it should reflect purple easily enough, or just use the broken camera. Apparently in the US it is a known issue admited by Canon and offer free service, alas I’m not in US.
The Navigator:
Base kit is Hasegawa’s newer tool 1/700 Ise BB version. It’s newer in the sense there’s an even older mold, but still about 10 years old new. Fit in general is pretty good as you’d expect from a '00ish kit, for accuracy’s sake Hasegawa was a bit lazy and didn’t bother distinguish the small differences between Ise and Hyuga, so check references if it matters to you. Main PE used is Tom’s model work’s IJN battleship set, used mainly the rails, crane, stack platform support. It’s designed for the old Hasegawa mold, so the lattrice supports around the stack are not quite the same. It actually involves a lot of work to cut out the plastic part into shape to accmodate the PE parts. All bridge windows are from lionroar’s IJN bridge window set which is just a set of ladders of varies sizes.
For a BBCV version of Ise, currently the best kit is Fujimi’s new 1/700 release.
Added small fittings, scout planes and started rigging. Once fully rigged weathering will the the final stage.
