Some basic newb questions

Hey folks,

I have some newb type questions. I have done a lot of model railroad type models but am going to give some Armor a try. So I picked up a Dragon Kingtiger at the hobby store and had a question. The directions look like everything is suppose to be base color painted before assmebly but looking at others work here it looks like they assmeble then paint. Is hard to airbrush paint behind all the parts when it is assembled? How does one make sure all the arms for the road wheels are level when glueing them into place? Basically so the tank sits level. There any tricks for this?

Thanks!

in order to paint behind all the parts, i usually dont put the road wheels and pioneering equipment on until after it is all painted, also for paint you can (should) remove the turret. To make all the arms sit level is simple just put the wheels on (not glued on just placed) and let the glue on the arms set and voila!

Repairman, welcome to the new world!

Easy answer to your question is leave the wheels off till after paint. I test fit them using anything which will hold them in place which will allow you to make sure they are level. To make sure the suspension arms are level I just a steel ruler, you have plenty of time if you use normal glue and not CA.

Hope that helps
