I need to create 15 buildings for my 3’ x 8’ Somalia dio. I’m using Basswood. My first attempt is a three story building. I would like to be able to see down inside the building, but when I cut away enough floor to see down, there’s no place for people to stand, and when I leave enoughroom to stand, it blocks your view. Any ideas??
You could leave a wall, such as the back wall off to look into them. Or you could leave gaping holes, battle damage, in the walls, roof, etc. to allow interior viewing.
3 x 8 feet?
Wow, keep us posted!
Yeah, it’s actually a sandtable. Terrain, etc. It’s actually a big heavy oak door. I put 1x6’s all around. Did the plaster coated paper towel thing. Then Latex paint, then colored sand. It contains a few city streets, the 8 vehicle convoy (6 humvees, two trucks; the third truck was blown up at the target house.) The Wolcott crash site, the SAR bird, one MH-6 and one AH-6. Trouble is…no samali figure…yet…
“Check six, mr clark”
“always, col. Johns”
Sounds awesome. How about some photos?

and see Blackhawk down movie.
Good luck
wow… that is an ambitious project. I am in the process of finishing my MH-60 DAP and was going to do a “Blackhawk Down”-ish type of dio. Obviously, those in BHD weren’t these aircraft… but I thought I would do a dio of several special forces repelling from a Blackhawk to a Middle-Eastern street.
MUD,
Actually they did have two DAP kits there in Mog. While they never did use them on an operational snatch and dash mission, they did fly several training lines up the coast for currency requirements. And they were Lima’s.
