is there a way to thicken upa solvent based glues? or make a slurry
If you’re talking about an “all solvent” glue like Testors “pink” label or Tamiya Extra thin, you could mix it with a thicker glue,
But you could just as easily buy a thicker type like Tamiya regular (white or orange label) ot Testors/Model Master “liquid” cement in the black squeexe bottle which is a medium viscosity type (not “thin” but not thick like a tube glue) Most brands make an “intermediate” liquid cement.
Haven’t tried it, but I’ve read you can drop sprue scraps into the bottle, and they’ll dissolve and thicken it up.
Melting sprue with the glue is the best method for getting it thicker. Back in the dark ages, many modelers used this technique to make a filler for seams. Works pretty well actually.
