well I like it. Looks very nice. The only thing that bugs me is the wolf itself. The red eyes and slightly green tint to the fur make it seem un-realistic.
I agree with the eyes…I would not expect there to be what look like real or “glass” eyes. A darkened slit would look better to me.
The greenish tint could be a functio of the lilghting.
That said, I like the bust a lot.
Just beautifull paintwork[bow]
Beautiful work as I have come to expect from you…one thing I noticed was a difference in the soldier’s eyes…his left eye is VERY nicely done, but his right eye seems to be wandering and not as much white is showing—just doesn’t match (maybe even some red in it?)…And I know that eyes are not supposed to be perfectly in-line w/ each other but I feel that the difference goes beyond that…
I took a close up pic…
It shows the right eye better.
Excellent !!!
Thanks. I like everything about this sculpture other than the eyes…one is squinting and the other is normal…so when his head is positioned in different directions, he looks different and almost cross eyed sometimes…maybe due to more to my (dis)abilities more than anything else!
After studying the pics, I think you are right, but I think you have done an outstanding job on them and I’m sure viewing it in person I would have never noticed it as I could scan across the whole bust in 3-D…Actually, the sculptor may have purposely done it that way, as most people’s eyes aren’t symetrical in real-life…5 stars !!!
