A few weeks back we had a short discussion on what most folks use to make bedrolls and tarps etc. Many of you said tissue paper was the item to use. I and a couple of other brave souls voted for plain old kleenex. Well I picked up some tissue paper and have tried it. It’s much better than kleenex and is much easier to handle, so in the spirit of the current political climate I’m flipping my vote to tissue paper![:D] Now let’s make some soft stowage!
On the other hand, since supporters of each major candidate have been really upset to the point of almost crying at various times recently, perhaps you should consider flipping back to Kleenex!
watch it guys, your leaning on the edge of political discussion. we all know wut happens when you cross that boundary…
Viva Kleenex!!!
Glad to hear you’ve found the right material for your needs! I’ve used both depending on expediency and have found them to each have their own benefits and drawbacks, so have both on hand depending on what I want to reproduce. [:D]
I’ve used kleenex and paper towels for some tarps and sleeping bags, and it came out ok. I just played with some sculpey to make some duffels and such and it looks pretty good as well. I’ve made some tissue paper sandbags for my Stuart and I liked how those turned out, but it’s an awful lot of work to get those suckers together. I guess this rambling is to say that you can use just about anything, so don’t limit yourself to any one method.
