So what do you think of this deal?

The small neighborhood toy store by my house is going out of buisness(very sad, good old fashoned toy store, nice people, free and quick gift rapping, and not cluttered up by todays electronics). I spoke with the owner about his unsold modeling tools, the price he quoted me is $200 for 157 bottles of testors enamels, 64 cans of testors spray paint and a couple of packs of sandpaper and brushes. I have not given him an answer yet, I figured I would see what the opinion in here. let me know what you think.

I suppose that it depends on what you are saving over regular prices & how much of the different paint colors you would ever use. Being in the UK, I have no idea what the stuff costs normally.

You could also perhaps put what you don’t think that you will ever use on ebay & try to make some money back?

go for it, If it were me, I would probably keep what I need and either sell the extras on evilbay or send it to a club in Iraq.

Less than a buck a bottle or can? Sounds like a good deal. Take what you need and eBay the rest of it. I’d send you a couple of bucks for a pack or two of Testors sanding films.

Priest, if you can afford it, I’d say go for it. That’s a lot of paint for real cheap. Like the others have said, you can ebay what you dont need and make a (slight) profit. good luck my friend

Sounds like a good buy, see if you can pick up the paint racks also.

Give me the address of the store and I’ll run in and see if it a good deal or not for you. [;)] JK, sounds like a good deal and if you get the rack like Swanny say’s…

had not even thought of donating it or about the paint rack. those Ideas make it seems much more worth while. Ive got some money coming in next week, I think im gonna go for it. anybody have info on any places where I could donate to the troops?

Sounds like a fair deal to me, if you have the cash, go for it.

Considering what I pay for a jar or can of spray paint @ the local Hobbytown USA I’d say go for it, its one heck of a bargin.

I believe IPMS’s homepage has contact info: http://www.impsusa.org

check the charity forum here, they have quite a few clubs based in different bases in Iraq and A-stan

They won’t take enamels or spray paints. Hazardous to ship - acrylics only, last I heard…

geez man, way to shoot holes in that plan [banghead]

Have not had any problems shipping these yet. I know they need paints and glues very badly.
