Every one has the “practice” kit. Used to test paint, fillers etc. etc. Well mine is a Hasegawa Ki44 Tojo, picked up on evil bay on the cheap, under $3 w/o shipping.(not the same I was looking for a spare stablizer for a few weeks back)
I am sitting at my bench tonight and said (out loud) “What a wreck!”…

I plan to use this for my first dio…a wrecked Ki44 somewhere in the jungles of the South Pacific, or Burma…
Here is the old jalopy
The cowl is dry fit and will be cranked at this angle for the wreck. A quick application of the Zippo and I now have bent prop blades. I have tested the salt paint chipping technique as well as rescribing and panel discoloration on this poor old kit.
Perhaps I should have posted this over in the dio section…ah what the heck, it is an airplane, or maybe whats left of one.
