So I have the base down now what?

Ok I am doing a dio that involves a jagdtiger (tank).I laid the ground work down using celluclay and now I am ready to useshrubs and grass and such. The ??? I have is do I coat it before adding any thing. Do I use actual soil for the ground then static grass.I have never done a dio before so please bare with me. thanks.

Now you go from modeler to farmer…

Paint your groundwork, the basic colors that will appear under your foiliage. i.e. green yellows and browns under grass, earth colors under your dirt. etc. and so on. Once this dries, take an awl or something you can make a hole in your groundwork. Punch or make a depression or hole and drop in some white glue, plant your tree, shrub, log, stump, branch, flowers, clumps of tall grass etc. in the hole or depression.

Once your ready to move on and the ground paint dries, wash your grass area with a mixture of white glue and water. 50/50 is what most use and sprinkle your static grass or what ever you are using for your grass material over that. Bloww off the excess and asses what you’ve done. You may have to repeat this step to get good coverage. Once done you can drybrush your grass and tweak where necessary.

Add your vehicle. It can be glued, placed, screwed, pinned tacked, tied however you feel you need to attach it to your base. Then your figures. I always run a piece of wire into the feet of my figures and make a small receiving hole in the base. Attach my figs that way.

Give it one more check, viola!

Huuuuummmm ok thank you much I will try a bit of this tonight.

Well Renarts have done such a good job in the explanation that I can’t add some more. Anyway if you have any specific questions just shoot me I mean shoot it to me. He-he-he.
