I’ve got a suggeston(that i’m gonna use) to use baking powder as snow with a thin coat of hairspray. Does the same go with trees? I meen I don’t want to waste 10 trees if I don’t have to.

i would suggest that you will first have to spray your trees with a diluted mix of pva (white glue)with water then sprinkle on baking soda then seal when pva mix is dry dont worry if glue mixture overspray dries a bit glossy cos hairspray is a matt finish try it on one tree first or a spare to get the feel of how much is enough

There are actually two ways to go with the hairspray and the baking powder.
The first is to spray the hairspray first from above and the dust with the baking powder immediately before the spray hardens off. This is the quickest way but any extra “snow” which falls will also need to be sprayed to keep it in place too.
The second is spray with the PVA / water mix first then the baking powder when the PVA mix begins to dry somewhat then finally spry the hairspray to keep it all in place.
This works well too but it is a little more time consuming.

Ive had a reaction using baking powders etc in the past,over time they yellow so now I dont use them. What I did in my dio of “those MPs arn`t GI” in the trees to represent snow was to heavily drybrush white paint onto the uppersides of the branches. Use thick craft paint from Micheals craft stores,the acrylic stuff,works real good and is a cheap alternative.
