SNJ Spray Metal Aluminum

I have an SNJ Spray Metal Aluminum Kit that I bought several years back at a local club’s model show and contest and I was wondering what is the opinion of this product? I have yet to see it discussed on here and have only seen mention of Alclad. How does it compare to other brands? Is it a good choice for a bare metal finish?[%-)]

I have a kit too and have yet to try. I’ve heard great things about it though. My favorite metal paint is Humbrol Polished Steel. It’s too dark to pass as aluminum but for darker metals, nothing beats it. It’s buffing and looks fantastic. Just don’t hand brush or spray with clear coats.

Mike, I have some too, but have never used it. My understanding is that it was the torch-carrier before Alclad II came along. My various readings suggested it was “better” than the Testors metalizers, but I don’t have experience to back that up. I do however use their polishing powder all the time. That stuff is neat…

Thanks guys. If you do a search on Google.com for ‘SNJ Spray Metal’ you find some good reviews of it. I guess I will have to try it and see. [:D]
