hi guys, just thought i’d share my bliss with you!! got this sweet package throught the snail mail system, and i’m stoked to say the least!! if anybody dont know by now, the “Old Crow” is my favorite stang scheme and “Bud” Anderson is my favorite Ace of all times!! below is a snap shot of the “Old Crow” decal sheet from Superscale along with a few aftermarket cockpits for a Bf109E-4(aires), F4U-5N Corsair(True Details), and the F4F wildcat cockpit by aires as well. i have a stang in the oven now but its all ready committed to another scheme, so i’ll be headed to the LHS soon for a couple of stangs!! thanks for letting me share fellows. later.

Amen to that brother ! I think this the best times modelers have ever had with all of the high quality kits & AM goodies. And there is no cure for the addiction.

By the way… have you read Anderson’s book “To Fly and Fight”? I went to Barnes and Nobles the other day and had them order it… she said it should be in in a week or two. I’m reading Yeager’s autobiography now and Anderson wrote some chapters in it. Boy those two were good buddies, and they knew how to have a good time as well. Oh well can’t wait to see that bird done. BTW are there two full sets on that sheet, one for the NMF and one for the Olive over gray?
adam, the decals are from Superscale Sheet # 48-731. it contains both schemes of “Old Crow”, NMF and OD over NG. however, the photo below shows a kit i stumble across the other day and like to have fainted when i saw that it had “Glamerous Glen III” in the NMF scheme, “Big Beautiful Doll” in NFM shceme, and “Old Crow” in OD over NG scheme!!![:0] after the hobby shop clerk fanned me back to my senses, i grabbed it up and throwed it on the counter as quickly as possible. whats funny about the whole thing is, someone had to have hidden the box, because it was stashed away on the bottom of the shelf underneath about 3 kits with rather large boxes!!!![]()

and yes, ive read the “To Fly and Fight” book!!! Bud is the coolest. Yeager is not far behind him either. i saw there interview on the history channel a couple of months ago and both are a hoot, especially Yeager, he’s so funny!! also, the book “An Ace of the Eighth” is fairly decent. later.
